I've been in the web design business for about 10 years. Just like everyone else, I've been astonished on how the entire internet front as changed, especially the new boom of social networking. This is the new niche that everyone should be using and I mean everyone. Churches and Faith Based Organizations have a huge advantage to use technology to spread the gospel and grow their ministries. Churches always been my main client and audience. I really am not sure how but the churches leaders would call and ask for my assistant in various areas of their web sites. I would be elated to help and offer my services for the good will of the church community. However, I've seen a lot over and the years and I've decided to put together some basic tips that churches might want to utilize if their going to use the internet as a venue to grow their business.

10. Get a website. There are still many churches out there that don't have a web presence. If you're not able to afford to hire a web designer, there are many free tools on the internet that will literally walk you through the steps to get a site published.

9. Post your video sermons on YouTube as there is a world of people who might be blessed by your Sunday sermon.

8. Again, keep the site clean. A site that is busy with photos, images and lots of content can turn people away.

7. Use chat and invite people to come and talk about issues or maybe just for prayer.

6. Use a blog and talk about what's happening at the church. Blogging is a great resource that you can use to engage your users and allow them to see a personal side of what's going on at the church or organization.

5. Send out newsletters to your members to keep them informed on upcoming church events and other important information

4. Have a subscription form on your email for users who want to be added to the email list. This is great way to grow your ministry online.

3. Use a email blast like yahoogroups.com and send out word of the day or daily word scriptures. You never know who really might need to read the daily scripture for that day.

2. Post a calendar to users can see what events are happening at the church

1. Have an awesome designed website. In this day in time, a web site is a necessity and if you don't have a website or if you have a website with a really outdated design, people might get turned away or may not take your online ministry serious. Keep the design new and updated with pictures and content that speaks what is happening at your church.

There are many other ways to market your church website online. I hope this provided you with some ideas to get you on your way.
